NEA-New Hampshire
2010 Instructional Mini-Grant Program
NEA-New Hampshire is committed to promoting quality education and supporting effective organizational practices in schools. One way of encouraging members to grow professionally is by providing small grants to members for education projects that would not normally be included in a school district’s budget.
Ten grants of $300 will be given to association members to assist with the implementation of education projects. A screening committee will select the winners. One award will be granted to an applicant in each region, provided that at least one proposal from each region meets established criteria. If all the grant money is not used because qualified applications have not been submitted, then regionally designated money may be used to fund other qualified grant applications.
Mini-grant recipients will be asked to share the results of their projects with others. Dissemination may be through local school district workshops, consulting with other teachers, making a presentation at a conference, or writing an article (for example, to be published in the Educator).
Guidelines
- Mini-grants will be awarded only to members of NEA-New Hampshire.
- Fill out the application in its entirety. Please type. The form may be reproduced to share with other NEA-NH members.
- Write a concise description of the project. Use the questions to help formulate your answers. The Mini-Grant Program will not be used to fund projects that should be included in a school district’s regular budget. These grants are not intended to supplant a school district’s effort. An applicant must conform to the school district policy regarding the receipt of outside funding.
- Association presidents must sign the applications verifying that the applicant is an active member.
- The deadline for application is August 1, 2010. Applications must be postmarked no later than August 1 or hand-delivered by that date to the NEA-NH Manchester office, 1750 Elm Street, Suite 603, Manchester, NH 03104, attention Donna Christman.

A final evaluation report must be submitted within 30 days of each project’s completion and no later than September 1, 2011. Mail your evaluation to the NEA-NH Manchester office, 1750 Elm Street, Suite 603, Manchester, NH 03104, attention Donna Christman.
- Mini-grant winners are required to submit a description of the project in report form, with pictures if appropriate. (This report may be used by NEA-New Hampshire to disseminate information about the project and the mini-grant program.)
